Product Lead

What you’ll do:

As our first Product hire, you will help us build and release better products for Stepful students and partners. In this position, you will:

• Work closely with the founders to maintain and organize a product roadmap
• Lead end to end product development for key areas of opportunity on the roadmap and take full ownership of metrics and results
• Develop a deep understanding of our students, staff, and partner employers through research, data analytics and experimentation
• Partner with the operations and learning teams to develop a deep understanding of our user journeys and gather feedback to elevate the user experience
• Work cross-functionally to define clear product requirements and ship delightful experiences that drive our north star metrics
• Work with the engineering team to plan, prioritize, track, and help QA features and releases
• Effectively communicate product opportunities, challenges, plans, benefits and results
• Find ways to be lean and improve efficiency and excellence in our product development process.

This job is for you if:

• You have 5+ years of product management experience in a startup environment
• You regularly run your own queries and turn data into actionable insights
• You are highly analytical with strong communication skills
• You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done successfully
• You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty
• You learn quickly through experimentations
• You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Bonus points if:

• You have product experience in EdTech
• You have experience as the first product hire at a startup
• You are proficient in SQL or other database querying
