🌇 About PropRise (YC S23)

Hey there! 👋 We're PropRise, a fast-growing data provider in commercial real estate (CRE). We leverage technology to collect mass amounts of data, which brokers and property owners purchase to make data-driven investment decisions. We’re currently looking for someone to join the team and help with business operations.

📕 Background

💡 TLDR We collect a ton of data using AI, computer vision, call bots and more. Other data providers have giant research teams that collect data by hand using humans. We can automate this and collect even more data for a fraction of the cost and dethrone the incumbents.

Our CEO, JM, has been a long-time investor in real estate. With multiple properties in his portfolio, he set out to purchase a manufactured housing community, but quickly realized there was no data available on this asset.

Upon digging deeper, we realized what the problem was. The incumbents have little need to innovate, and are being capped by human labor. CoStar, a $33.5B company, employs several thousand researchers to call and source their data. This manual process is too limited to ever cover the whole commercial real estate market.

In a world that increasingly relies on data, there's a growing demand for detailed information to aid brokers, investors, and appraisers in making well-informed decisions.

That’s where PropRise comes in. Using our deep backgrounds in tech, we are collecting 100x the data at 1/100th the cost. We are poised to unseat the incumbents and become CRE’s most complete data-provider.


📝 Job Description

We're on the hunt for an operations person to join us in January or early February 2024, working closely with the founders. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven strategic thinker, skilled in networking, comfortable with sales, and eager to boost our presence at industry events.

🎯 Responsibilities

  • 🤝 Be the Face of PropRise
    • Represent us at key industry gatherings, ensuring PropRise is a name people know and respect.
    • Connect with all attendees at industry events, confidently introducing our brand and sparking conversations.
    • Devise and execute strategies that elevate our brand’s recognition and value.
  • 📈 Lead Generator & Sales Catalyst
    • Craft and steer our sales and marketing initiatives, driving our outreach and client acquisition.
    • Take the helm of our cold-calling operations, reaching out to prospective clients with precision and persuasion.
  • 💼 Data-Obsessed Strategist
    • Delegate tasks efficiently, showing experience with virtual assistants or team management.
    • Contribute to company-wide data gathering efforts. An obsession with data is a huge plus!

🏅 Qualifications

  • Leadership experience with an eye for sales / brand strategy.
  • Great at networking and relationship-building. Enjoys attending events.
  • Background in sales, marketing, and cold-calling.
  • Loves collecting and analyzing data. Our whole product is data, afterall!
  • Grit. We are a small startup looking to make a big name for ourselves!
  • Experience as a broker, or in real estate is a huge plus!
  • Available to start in January or February 2024.
