About the role

Atlas is all-in-one customer support software that combines customer context with customer communication. We do this by bringing sessions, bugs, and outbound emails together in a timeline view for support agents while they’re solving customer problems.

We're funded by the founders of OpenAI, Dropbox, Rippling, Lattice, Bloomtech, and GatsbyJS and are backed by YCombinator. We're a rapidly growing startup that is fully remote with a culture focused on working hard, delivering results, collaborative learning, and no egos.

🎨 Role

Atlas is looking for a Senior Product Designer to design our product and own our design system. You’ll work closely with our cofounders and engineering team to design new products and features and help ensure that they are implemented at a high fidelity. You’ll be the first full-time designer on a small, nimble, and fast-moving team.

🏆 Responsibilities

  • create high fidelity mockups for new features and products
  • create new components in our design system on an as needed basis and outline their usage criteria
  • review newly developed features to ensure design fidelity of implementation
  • present and critique new work at regular design reviews with members from the product and engineering teams

🤔 Experience

  • 5+ years experience in product design, preferably in SaaS or customer support software
  • expertise using Figma to creating high and low fidelity mockups
  • strong understanding and experience using and maintaining design systems
  • mastery of modern design principles such as responsive design
  • strong communication skills especially in a remote setting

About the interview

  1. Intro + portfolio review: 45-minute call to discuss experience, review portfolio, and answer any questions related to the role.
  2. Technical Interview: A 1-hour technical interview to assess proficiency in Figma, prototyping, and basic front-end languages.
  3. Design Challenge: A small, time-boxed exercise where the candidate creates a design or prototype.
  4. Final Interview: A 1-hour meeting with the cofounders to review the design challenge and assess the candidates design skills and thinking.
  5. Offer & Onboarding: Job offer extended, followed by onboarding.
