Senior Software Engineering Manager

Our clients rely on our software to facilitate their virtual recruiting processes and programs for interviews and networking events. What You’ll Do Empower the engineers as individual contributors to grow their technical impact and delivery. Meet with them regularly to help them grow their careers and provide feedback Effectively project manage and prioritize engineering roadmaps to align with the product roadmap and release timelines Review code developed by engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (security, correctness, scalability, style, reusability) Communicate technical problems to non-technical team members and product managers Build cross functional relationships within and outside of the engineering organization Join a quickly growing company and share responsibility in the team’s success What You Should Have 5+ years of experience working on a software engineering team 1+ years of experience leading an engineering team Prior experience planning with a product manager in order to deliver product needs and define release timelines Capability delegating technical responsibilities to engineers and/or guiding them as they self manage technical breakdown of projects Comfortable collaborating across disciplines, working with engineers, marketers, salespeople, and product managers Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter attitude Proactively give, receive and respond to feedback Ability to adapt quickly in a fast changing environment Comfort under pressure of tight deadlines Java, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Next.js SQL, AWS, HTML, CSS, Javascript proficiency Bonus Points: Own your own development projects that impacted users directly Remote Policy We have a Central Austin office available to those who prefer to work in person. For employees seeking to work remotely, we ask them to join us in the office at least 2-3 days a month and for essential meetings. We also hold a required in person All Hands meeting once a month.
