About the role
As a Software Engineer at Health Harbor, you will…
- Develop scalable cloud solutions to orchestrate thousands of concurrent phone calls
- Integrate with the new FHIR API for interoperability with existing healthcare systems
- Take responsibility for core systems around the large language model, including refining and narrowing the scope of prompts.
- Build novel solutions to leverage the strength of the large language model while being robust to privacy and security constraints.
- Write production-level software including system design, implementing end-to-end tests, bug fixing/debugging and documentation.

- You're willing to work hard with us. It's very rewarding to hear from doctors about the time we're saving them, but on our side, we typically work about 60 hours every week to make this happen.
- Bonus:
- Python/React experience
- Familiarity with FHIR or other common API architectures in healthcare
- Previous work with websockets or telephony APIs
- Past experiences scaling a system to thousands of concurrent users

Health Harbor is using LLMs to fully automate calling insurance for doctors. Our mission is to simplify healthcare so doctors and their offices can spend less time figuring out logistics, and instead focus on the patients they care about.
We are looking for outstanding product-focused software engineers who are just as passionate about healthcare as we are. As an Engineer at Health Harbor, you'll have the chance to tackle difficult technical problems.
