Frustrated by a lack of humanity in the industry, we set out to create a phone company that respects customers. We keep data secure, protect against spam calls, and eliminate hidden fees and complex contracts. Our vision is a future where technology doesn’t replace human connection, it strengthens it.

As a venture-backed, Y-Combinator graduate, we have the drive, resources, and motivation to revolutionize the telecommunications industry. We leveraged our technical expertise to deliver the flexibility of VoIP with the reliability of the cellular network and brought this technology to customers' existing landlines. We launched our revolutionary product two years ago and are quadrupling our customer base year over year.

With a remarkable 400% growth in recurring revenue in 2022, we’ve expanded from 17 fully-distributed teammates to more than 80, serving clients like KFC, AT&T, state and local governments, General Motors, and homes across America. 🌟 About the role

Our thousands of happy customers signed up for Community Phone landline service to solve a specific problem: to save money on phone service, to replace unreliable VoIP or copper wire, to get peace of mind that their loved one will always be connected, and everything in between.

For all of these segments, our core product addresses an urgent and painful problem. But for many of them, we have additional products that can help save them money and make their lives easier.

As our Founding Product Marketer , you’ll learn what problems different customer segments are facing at each stage of their experience with Community Phone, and lead experiments to deliver more value to the right customers at the right time.

The business metrics you’ll own will be:

  1. Revenue generated via upsell

  2. Subscriptions added via referrals

  3. Cashflow acceleration by moving monthly subscriptions to annuals paid upfront

  4. Churn reduction by surfacing the right support content for customers before they reach out to our support team

🚀 You will...

  • Dig into customer usage and customer satisfaction data with our analyst team to identify our happiest customers

  • Listen to sales and support calls and chop up our CRM with our rev ops leader to understand how different customers talk about the problem they’re solving when they sign up

  • Generate hypotheses for different customer segments about how we can solve their problems more effectively through additional Community Phone products

  • Write and design email, landing page, remarketing, and direct mail campaigns with our content and design team to convert happy customers to higher value plans

  • Identify new product opportunities with our head of product based on what you’re seeing 

🏆 You are...

  • A product and/or lifecycle marketer with at least 4 years of experience at an early-stage startup taking initiatives from 0 to 1

  • An engine that makes things happen. You embody the founder mindset, and you do what it takes to ship projects.

  • An excellent writer, comfortable creating longer-form content, landing page copy, emails, ads, and everything in between

  • Comfortable working with data analysts, engineers, ops, product managers, designers, and marketers to generate hypotheses and get experiments off the ground

  • Capable in Excel, Tableau, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or your data analysis platform of choice

  • Experienced with Hubspot or a sophisticated CRM

Our salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. However, total compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include (but are not limited to) job-related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location.

About Community Phone Company

Community Phone Company YC W19 built a simple cloud phone system for businesses that don't operate a call center.

Our solution lets a business get all modern voice features (re-route if busy, greeting menu and IVR, programmable caller ID, cloud voicemail, etc) on their existing office phone and existing employee cell phones. All employees onboard instantly, no wifi required, no app to download. Businesses should not be missing out on orders because they can only take one call at a time, and they shouldn't need an IT person in order to get a modern business phone system.
