Product Manager - Data

In this role, you will

Requirement Gathering

• Deeply understand key questions to ask of the data, based on Dost’s impact goals
• Stay abreast of the goals and activities of different teams, as well as strategies, systems and frameworks the teams use
• Identify opportunities for using data to enhance their decision-making, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Tech Setup

• Set up data collection & storage systems using no-code tools, APIs & webhooks, spreadsheets, databases, etc., in collaboration with engineers.
• Transform raw data into summary tables suitable for analysis and reporting, utilizing SQL and other relevant tools.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing testing frameworks and monitoring systems.
• Create end-user analytics from summary tables in the form of dashboards, charts, reports, alerts, etc.
• Optimize the solutions for cost and performance.

Analytics & Adoption

• Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc analytics for teams, especially when requirements are short-term, one-time, or unclear for substantial technical setups.
• Provide analytics support tailored to the specific objectives of different teams.
• Lead the adoption of various analytics solutions for different teams.

You'll be a great fit if you

• Have 3+ years of experience working with data.
• Have a strong passion for creating a positive impact in society.
• Have experience in translating data into decision-ready and discussion-ready insights.
• Have demonstrated ability to design and implement robust analytics solutions (dashboards/ KPIs/ Reporting/ etc.).
• Have experience in building data collection systems, including the use of no-code tools, APIs, design of database schema, etc.
• Experience with Data Studio, Tableau, or any other analytics tools, and proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Are comfortable and well-versed with SQL.
• Are a strong written and verbal communicator -- explaining complex concepts is exciting for you
• Are comfortable and effective at juggling multiple projects across teams simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
• Are scrappy and effective. You approach questions with scientific rigor but can execute pragmatically -- the simplest solution may be the best
• Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility. The ability to self-organize and effectively manage your work is important.
• Have experience in helping team members from non-tech and data backgrounds adopt analytics solutions.
