The position will be based out of our new HQ in London, with remote flexibility for US candidates located on the east coast. Our London location serves as our main engineering and R&D hub and is the base for our global projects, however we have team members based in the US as well.
Job responsibilities include:
Assist the Business Development team with any and all relevant tasks spanning a variety of focus areas including (but not limited to):
Market research
Report and presentation generation
Grant writing and RFP response preparation
Opportunity origination across core business functions
Regulatory compliance research and deliverable development
Internal operations coordination
Partnership communication and outreach
Optimization of internal Business Development processes, systems, and tools
In order to best meet the needs of the role, ideal candidates will demonstrate the following skills: Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on ability to succinctly and professionally communicate complex ideas via PowerPoint. Create robust, custom Excel analyses and reporting that will be used to make key business decisions. This data will be used to further define assumptions, drive recommendations, and inform long-term partner enablement strategy. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Demonstrated ability and comfort managing multiple simultaneous responsibilities including comfort with setting priorities and owning workstreams. Robust time management skills & an ability to multi-task Effective and clear communicator Desire to learn and grow in a high-volume, fast-paced start-up environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Some experience in a BD-related role (Experience in a financial position start-up operations/BD roles) Experience (professional or equivalent academic experience) in the climate sector, specifically in carbon removal, carbon removal and sequestration technologies, carbon markets (compliance and/or voluntary) Experience with grant writing and/or scientific publishing
Heimdal builds machines that permanently capture and store atmospheric CO2. Congress has passed legislation (IRA) guaranteeing a price of $180/tCO2 removed via Direct Air Capture until 2032. We are building technology that profitably captures CO2 with this tax credit, right here in the United States.
