About us

In the last few years, remote and hybrid work has had an explosion in popularity, giving workers an unprecedented level of access to opportunity and an increase in quality of life. However, our existing tools were not set up to do remote work well. Work can be isolating, transactional, and void of the camaraderie that makes everyone feel like they’re in it together.

To solve this, Gather builds virtual offices that bring the best of in-person work to remote. We’ve already seen success with our approach, with over 10,000 remote-first companies using our spaces every day.

And yet it’s still the early days for our broader vision of the Metaverse. We’re excited about how the Metaverse can break down physical constraints that exist today, not just in where you can work, but which friends/family you can see, or what educational opportunities you can have access to.

Role Overview:

Through word of mouth alone, Gather has spread to more than 10,000 remote-first companies, from tech startups to law firms to multiple members of the Fortune 500.

However, it’s become clear that in the next stage of our business, we need to move beyond self-serve. Both our product and market are entirely new, so the GTM motion of getting big companies to successfully run their whole operations on Gather is complex, novel, and critical for our success. As a founding GTM, you will be responsible for helping us figure it out.

This role is for people who are hungry, creative, and entrepreneurial. This role is not for people who prefer a straight line to success, are afraid to roll up their sleeves, or need a lot of resources to succeed. The work will be hard and at times deeply frustrating, but also tremendously rewarding.

This role works closely with and reports directly to the CEO.

Where you will make an impact:

• Flex between what might be traditionally considered sales, success, implementation, and solutions engineering, depending on what matters most. Unlike in scaled orgs where people get specialized, you will need to work full-stack from qualifying a new customer to taking the first demo to implementation to handling expansion & renewals.
• Be creative about crafting the “art” that is our GTM motion today. Examples today include helping big customers figure out the details of how to set up their few hundred person Gather office, networking your way to the right decision-maker, and figuring out what a really great demo looks like by running hundreds of them yourself.
• Turning the “art” into a repeatable “science” that we can then use to scale the GTM teams. If all works out, there will be opportunities to lead the new teams.
• Be a significant strategic contributor on everything else GTM, bringing forth market feedback to inform our ICP, use cases, pricing, messaging, and more.

What you bring:

• 4+ years experience in sales or CS at SaaS companies
• Hunger, with an extreme sense of urgency and initiative in your work
• Creativity. You can think quickly on your feet, are strategic in GTM, and pick up product and customer issues quickly
• Entrepreneurial. You’re not afraid of ambiguity, and thrive in environments where you must something from nothing with few resources
• You’re a great conversationalist and customer obsessed
• Strong interest in our product & problem space
• Deeply motivated to build something great, ahead of money/quotas

US Salary Range

At Gather, compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $150,000 - $165,000 annually (w/competitive first hire equity) and we encourage candidates outside of this salary range to apply.
